Hearing all this makes me sad and angry.

I agree that there is a general lack of parental supervision and a lot of apathy on the parents part when they do find out what their kids are doing/have done.

My kids will be homeschooled  as long as the Lord allows. I told my husband I will have to die or be very disabled before I put the kids in PS.

It is not just lack of parent involvement...I can't be there with my teens in PS all day. They are teens...they are easily influenced by their peers. Hopefully, I have raised mine better than that, but honestly I don't know.

I totally agree with you there. My oldest dd is a freshman at PS. I was talking more about the kids who are under 10. How are they allowed to have these "suck parties" where are their parents ??
I told my husband about this and he asked the same question. Where are these parents and why would you let 9 yr olds go to a party? Really??? I don't let mine go to parties and they are teens...well except the baby. It is scary at the lack of parental control. Maybe if people would discipline and spank(sorry if it offends) their kids once in awhile these kids wouldn't be so crazy. Although I spanked my older ones and they are still mouthy and bratty.......well that proves it....it really is PS fault!! Grin Grin Roll Eyes

The Bible says dont spare the rod! If you beat (ok, not literally beat, but that's what it says) your child with the rod he will not die, you will deliver his soul.

I remember in school the principal had a wooden paddle. I am sure I got it once or twice too! If I did I blocked it out! lol!

I think these are called "parties" but are not essentially parties per say. I doubt they send out invitations with the intentions! My God, I would certainly hope not atleast!!!!

Well, that isn't quite was I meant. But, how would you have this going on and parents not know? I mean I always knew exactly where my kids were and with whom when they were that age. Not so much anymore......which might be why I am a grandma.

Maybe things like this happen AT school! Another good reason to keep them home!

This is horrible and I am not even sure how to word it. My friend's mom is a dean at a middle school in Orlando. Some 6th graders got kicked off of the school bus for having sex on the bus, but not the "normal" kind or even oral. The "other" back end type. Can you BELIEVE that?

I threw up in my mouth a little Lips sealed I have heard kids here getting kicked off for it. Well, not the rear kind...just normal. We live in the middle of nowhere and so everyone just lets their kids go. Which is nice to a point, but not all of them are going to behave.  Then you've got the big ones dragging the little ones with them. Lot of single parents around here. I am so glad I am not one of them anymore. Did it when my 2 oldest were young. This stuff just gets worse and worse with every generation. Cry
