Whew!  No compromises, Carrie! LOL!  I like that Smiley

I think my biggest goal this year is to STAY ACCOUNTABLE... and WRITE IT DOWN!

I have this bad habit of forgetting stuff if I don't write it down and then beating myself up later about it and feeling like I didn't DO anything at all.

Once I write things down, I can find a TON of educational value in the things that we do around here .... not to mention seeing a blank space in the "math" or "science" or whatever column sure is a motivator for me to hurry and do a lesson with the kiddos just to be able to check it off!  They are totally eager to do whatever I throw at them, so there really are no excuses!

....to create peace and harmony within my home and myself.  My little son who is adopted along with my daughter is extremely challenging to say the least.  There has been a toxic environment in our home this year.  I am praying for peace from the Holy Spirit for all of us.

By the grace of God, he has been accepted into a program for gifted children with behavioral and social issues.  This is a gift and I pray it will be a stepping stone in reaching our goal.

Blessings,

Lisa

What a great post! My goal is to be more involved. We move around often, but I am looking for a hs group in this area, and putting my two youngest in gymnastics. I would rather be at home, but I know the kids need interaction. I want to also be more accountable. I am desperately trying to learn to organize. Roll Eyes Ish! I guess we are never too old to learn ...  Wink

To make the "extras" essentials.

Art, nature study, science experiments, music... I want it ALL.  No more "we covered the basics/the necessary stuff... eh, we'll skip _______, it isn't necessary..."

Nope.  I want to make the extras essential.   Grin

BIBLE!

I was convicted of that this spring.  I'm always worried about Math -- if we do nothing else, let's get math done.  Well -- I  may have my priorities out of whack.

So this year... BIBLE!  If we get nothing else done - we will get Bible done!

I'm planning on memorizing Matthew 5-7 with the kiddos.  That's my big goal!

By this time next year I want to have 4 very fluent, very capable readers.
Oh, and to be on our way to mastery of Math.

My goals are clear.  G is 6 yr old and seems to be a natural reader.  Her math skills seem to come along fine as well. She is beautifully created but her first year of school tore down a wonderful girl.

My goal for her will be to rebuild her self confidence and make learning desired again.  She is so excited to be doing homeschooling.

My goal for F will be to grasp phonics and work on her fine motor skills.  She is very young but reading sight word books now.  If she can grasp those fine motor skills we will complete Kindergarten this year...if not we will take two years to do it.

I want to enjoy my kids more, and not just have school as a check mark to rush through. We have started fun Fridays to help me bring in the extras with a plan. I want to continue those, and get the kids involved in other activities.
