It's not required here, so I've not done it yet, but next year (3rd grade) will be the first year I test my oldest and while my middle boy will be studying 3rd grade he'll take his test the following year.  I'm not sure which I want to use yet, I was thinking Stanford or Iowa but I'm not decided yet.  I need to find one that I can do here and not have a proxy administer the test.

My dd's just took the DORA test from letsgolearn.com. It is $15 per test through homeschoolbuyersco-op.com. They test k-12 in math(DOMA) and reading(DORA). I test them in Sept + May to see our progress. It gives alot of great information on specifically where your child struggles and what you can do to help.

I might have to do the DORA test with my boys, to get a better picture of where they are in reading/phonics and what we need to work on specifically.  Thanks!  I'll check out HSBC
