This is taken from a poster on
www.homeschoolspot.com - it was good so I wanted to post it here.
Something from another post intrigued me and I did a little research and found that only 3 states have graduation requirements for homeschoolers that include specific courses.
That is GREAT news!!!
We can create some off the wall classes and still graduate our students.
We don't have to make our students study a foreign language.
We can choose NOT to make them finish calculus or heck, not even go through algebra II and still graduate our students.
I know that many homeschooling parents are not going to veer too far off of the public/private school high school plan, especially for the college bound. But, for those of us who do dare to veer off that path--WOO-HOO.

http://www.brighthub.com/education/h...es/101327.aspx It is liberating and freeing to know that we don't have to teach specific courses to our highschoolers in order to graduate them....unless you are in North Dakota, New York, or Pennsylvania.
