Well, I hate crowds, hate getting up early, and am far too broke for Black Friday. However, if I know something the kids or hubby really want will be cheap and worth me dragging my behind out of bed I will go. I prefer Cyber Saturday.

Check out this website http://bfads.net/

It has copies of the black friday ads a couple of weeks early. In fact kohls, sears, walgreens, cvs and a few others are already posted  Grin

I worked in retail forn several years at a mall. It runied holiday shopping and I hate to say it, holiday music for me! I have done Black Fri only once or twice, and it was NOT at a mall...lol! I went to Lifeway Christian Store and Target. I would rather get up early to yard sale.   Roll Eyes

I can't handle crowds of people, I've always been that way, in fact it's so bad I walked out of my own high school graduation!  I have never gone to a black friday sale, and I only made the mistake of leaving the house once on black friday and I will never do it again.  If there is something I really must have or desperately need I ask my dad and he gets it for me.  I also am not a morning person....I'm really crabby if you wake me up before 7am, and even at 7 I require about 4 cups of coffee to be human.

I also loathe crowds. I get almost claustrophobic and really cranky. There are so many rude people out that day  Angry

Carrie, Yes you are right!  That is part of why I can't handle crowds, because the mean mama bear in me comes out when people are rude with my children.  I once had a woman knock my 3 year old down in a mall and she had the nerve to act like it was his fault!  I can't do it, I just can't.  Rarely do I go to the mall, and when I do it's on a Wednesday late morning/ early afternoon when almost no one is there!

The crowds themselves don't bother me. It's the people who just stop and stand in the middle of the aisle with their carts (#1), the long lines to check out, the disappointment at not being able to get what you came in for 'cause it's sold out, the filthier than usual bathrooms, and the people who take stuff out of your cart when you go to the bathroom (I prefer to shop alone). UGH, my blood is boiling just thinking about all this  Embarrassed

I'm all about the online deals. Smiley

There aren't any Black Friday deals I'm interested enough in to drag the rugrats out before dawn, among the wacky crowds.

A different take on Black Friday. My kids love it! They all play violin very well, so we go to the outlets set ourselves up on a corner and busk for tips. They use this money to buy toys for tots or food for the local food pantry and if there is any left over they get presents for each other. It is a long day but they love the attention and bring a little joy into the crowd with their christmas music. When they get tired we take a break and get hot chocolate or a pretzel. They ask about this every year about Halloween, and get out their christmas carols to practice.

I am apparently going to now...my DH volunteered me to shop with his SGT's wife. Yeah! Excitment. Oh well at least I get a few hours without the kids...hehe and I don't get any sleep anyway. I'll make her treat me to an expensive coffee or something. I will post on the horror afterwards Grin
