In order to get some discussion going, how about we post links to our favorite sites about saving money, finding deals, giveaways, etc?  Smiley

I've been reading The Dollar Stretcher off and on for years. New stuff every week, and lots of info in the archives.

I like Prizey for finding giveaways. I love that you can search just through giveaways that are about to end. I typically don't enter giveaways that have thousands of entries, since the odds are pretty low, but this way you can basically see whether it's worth your time. (Less than 100 entries=pretty good odds.)

If you happen to be on Twitter, I follow a few people who are always on top of all the deals:

I use Swagbucks to earn points to trade in for Amazon gift cards. I've only ever earned $20, which isn't huge money, but I was just searching the internet like I would anyway. You also get credit for referrals, although I don't have any.

www.kidswoot.com periodically has some really good deals. I was looking a while back at some Pokemon sleeping bags for the kids, at Toys R Us, for $20 ea, plus shipping. I decided against buying them, and later found the same ones on Kidswoot. I was able to buy two for around $13, and that included shipping.  Smiley

I love bookcloseouts.com for cheap books. (Of any material object in the world, books are probably my weakness.  Grin) The assortment is pretty random, but they have an awesome sale a couple of times a year, and even at their regular prices I've been able to pick up some really nice Usborne books for just a few bucks. I typically place an order here maybe twice a year, and stock up on nice books for our homeschool, as well as for gifts.

What are your favorites?

I use MyPoints which is similar to swagbucks but I combine it with BzzAgent (where I get free products to try and Bzz about) to boost my earnings.  Then I trade them in for Amazon Gift Cards which I combine with my gift cards from swagbucks.  I generally get 85 - 100  dollars a year doing this.  Which takes care of Birthday's Smiley

I forgot about BzzAgent. I'm signed up there too.   Smiley I have a mypoints account as well, but seem to be accruing points at a  snail's pace. Maybe I need to look into it further...$85-100 per year, I'm impressed.

Anytime I need to order a service or product online I look at MyPoints to see if there is a points offer for it, if not there then on SwagBucks.  That helps me to acrue points.  Also I get 3-5 emails from them a day, I don't read them all but I do click the 5 point links to help boost my points.  Also I earn MyPoints through BzzAgent by trying products, posting reviews, and taking surveys.  I do most of that late at night after the kids have gone to bed and I am trying to get sleepy enough to sleep myself.

I have both of those too. I stopped participating a while back...bzzagent got to where more than half of their offers were the paid kind...and I'm not going to pay to try anything. MyPoints got on my nerves!

Birbitt, I'll have start remembering to go through mypoints when I shop.

I do most of my blogging/giveaway entering/internet time wasting when the kiddos are sleeping too.  Smiley

Leigh, I've been a little peeved at some of the Bzz Agent offers too. If you're a blogger, you can sign up with My Blog Spark, which is similar to Bzz Agent. They send you things to try out and review, and generally provide a giveaway for your blog as well. It's pretty awesome.

I've never been offered a Pay BzzAgent.  Currently I've got elmers and xacto that I'm trying they sent me two pairs of deco edge scissors (which are just like every other brand), and a corner punch to round corners (which I LOVE because for some reason I prefer round corners to pointy ones lol) some different glues (dots, tape runner, glue stick, and double ended liquid glue).  Most of it is just like all others I've used, but I really like the corner punch and the double ended glue.

That sounds like a fun campaign. I got a bunch of Glue Dots to try out through another venue a while back, and it made my geeky, crafty little heart go pitter patter. Smiley (Somehow I'd never tried Glue Dots before.)

I get a lot of offers through Bzz Agent lately wanting me to buzz about websites, and advertising campaigns, and stuff like that. I can't specifically recall if I've ever had them pitch something to buy.
