Well, hubby took 3 hours to teach and he skipped two subjects, then they had 30 min of seatwork.  Smiley  I always have fun watching Hubby teach.

I could imagine my dh teaching the kids. It would be anarchy, like when you were in school and a substitute was there. LOL

Well I was burnt out from the past week or so fighting with them to work, so Hubby said he'd take over for a day and they have promised to be better behaved tomorrow..Basically around here hubby plays the role of "Miss Viola Swamp" and I play the role of "Miss nelson"Smiley

LOL!  I always love it when my hubby teaches.  He always appreciates me more afterwards!  As far as the school day...That depends.  Sometimes we finish by lunch and sometimes we take until 3:00, like today.  I guess it depends on how motivated mommy is to keeping on task!

Funny about family devotional - we have had it at different times all through the years, after supper, first thing in the morning, etc, right now 7 am is the only time all day when all of our 5 at home kids are in the house at the same time. and actually this only works M-F! so three days a week after supper is sure better than throwing up your hands LOL!

I feel guilty for not even having family devotional. I'm lucky if we are all here for supper. Embarrassed I guess I am just not real good at keeping my teens corralled.

Come on ladies, stop beating yourselves up here! Family devotional can be simple. Some days all we do is pray and call it good, others we sing, read scriptures, etc. etc.. I'd say pray only days win hands down but it is the routine that matters. You can do anything together which brings you to God and that is family devotional. Did I just get on a rant there.... oops sorry.

I know it can be all kinds of things.  The problem is getting everyone in the house at the same time.  The four days that hubby works he's gone from 9:30am to 10pm and the kids don't get up until after 8am.  So by the time we get breakfast and clean up it's time for hubby to leave. Sad

On good days we are done in 2 hours. Longer on the not so good days. We take breaks too, and come back later and finish things if for instance my really sensitive child starts the tears a flowin.  Cry Plus with a baby sometimes she just needs the extra attention for a while.
